Job Description for Fair Grounds Worker - Seasonal

ABOUT THE FAIR PARK OF JEFFERSON COUNTY
Jefferson County Fair Park provides a county owned facility for all citizens where young and old can gather to display their talents, accomplishments and celebrate their cultures; thereby promoting education, entertainment, and economic growth in Jefferson County.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
This purpose of this position is to maintain the Fair Park buildings and grounds, ensuring the safety of employees and visitors. To be successful in this position you will successfully complete tasks such as:

SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Prepares buildings and grounds for events: erecting stalls, moving display equipment, setting up cages, erecting dividers, placing fencing, moving bleachers, and setting up tables and chairs.
• Cleans and maintains buildings and grounds, including picking up litter and garbage, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, cleaning barns, plowing and shoveling snow.
• Operates tractors and skid loaders as may be needed.
• Adheres to and promotes safety as a priority in the workplace.
• Complies with County HIPAA Policies and Procedures, if applicable.
• Demonstrates dependable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned or may develop.

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation. Must be 18 years of age if operating equipment.


Wage
We pay $15/ hour.
